Dear Tooth & Co Families,
It has been very exciting to be back at the office these past 3 weeks! Everyone at Tooth & Co has been thrilled to get back to doing what they are passionate about: providing dental care to our young patients. We delighted in seeing your familiar (and new) faces, even though masked and from more than 6 feet away, in listening to your child’s unique description of all the changes happening around them, and in knowing that once again we can aid in keeping them “sugar bug-free”, and healthy. We realize that you have questions about the steps we are taking to ensure your family’s safety. Tooth & Co staff are prepared to answer your questions and direct you to appropriate resources. As dedicated healthcare professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. We have always followed the recommendations of OSHA and CDC for infection control and will continue to adhere to all their updates.
Now, as a parent AND healthcare provider, I feel a more comprehensive description of what we have in place at Tooth & Co would be welcomed. Click on the following link to learn more about Top 10 Things to Keep the Air Clean In A Dental Office: Capturing Aerosols and Splatter.
In dentistry, maintaining high infection control standards is critical while applying techniques for creating clean air quality. At Tooth & Co we combine daily high infection control standards with the above Top Ten Methods for creating clean air, to keep team members, patients and their families healthy and well.
As a reminder, if you have an upcoming appointment, but it has not been confirmed since we re-opened 3 weeks ago, please contact us. You can call us at 952-920-8234 or email us at info@toothandco.com, or request an appointment through our website, toothandco.com. Our staff members are ready to get you back on the schedule and will ease you through all the new protocols and procedural changes.
For your safety,
We have put away toys, magazines, beanbag chairs and other items that are difficult to keep absolutely clean. Please bring a stuffed animal or blanket if it helps to make your child’s visit more pleasant.
There will be increased disinfection protocols and protective measures throughout the office. We thank you ahead of time for your patience.
The night before or morning of your child’s appointment, please fill out the Health Screening form and submit it electronically.
Before leaving your house, be sure your child’s teeth are brushed and flossed thoroughly, as our toothbrushing area will be closed for the purpose of aerosol reduction.
In an effort to further reduce exposure, all our forms are available on our website and can be filled and submitted electronically ahead of time.
Upon your arrival, please stay in your car until the time of your appointment. We’ll open the door for you. Once we quickly check in with you, you are welcome to stay in your car. If you choose to come in, you must wear a mask for the duration of the visit.
Each person to enter the office (all staff members, patients and family) must have their temperature taken. According to CDC guidelines, if it is above 100.4 degrees, we need to reschedule your appointment at least 2 weeks out.
Due to social distancing guidelines, we are limiting the number of people in the office and request that only scheduled patients and 1 parent/guardian come to the appointment. If you have other dependents that must accompany you, we ask you to consider remaining in the car with them. We will notify you when your child’s appointment is done.
We only require the accompanying adult to wear a mask. We recommend (but not require) masks for your child(ren), as they may not be old enough to adhere to proper use of the mask.
I speak for my entire Tooth & Co Team when I say, “We are here for you!” Underneath the extra layers of PPE we wear a BIG smile on our faces and are happy to see you. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office prior to your appointment. If you have any special requests, we will do our best to accommodate. We value your trust and loyalty, and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.
