Dear Parent,
Your child has an upcoming non-emergency appointment with us at Tooth & Co Pediatric Dentistry. We are contacting you to reschedule.
On April 1, the American Dental Association, in accordance with CDC and state of MN, issued an interim recommendation that dentists keep their offices closed to all but urgent and emergency procedures until April 30th. This continued postponement is difficult, but as health care professionals, it is so important that dentists do their part to help mitigate the spread of this virus.
In the meantime, you should not have to wait until an existing cavity is large enough to cause pain. There are “non-restorative” or non-invasive approaches to arrest caries, or at least temporize a cavity without aerosolizing oral fluids, thereby minimizing risk of microbial transmission.
If your child has a pending treatment plan, if you suspect a cavity, if your child experiences sensitivity, or has sustained trauma to the mouth, if you have any concerns in regards to your child’s teeth or mouth in general call us at (952)920-8234 or email us at info@toothandco.com. We will set up a teledentistry visit. This is an effective way to triage your child and conduct problem-focused evaluations, while limiting the risk of unnecessary exposure.
Your child’s oral health is our passion and I want you to know that we are here for you. I am here for you. Tooth & Co is your child’s dental home and we will do everything to keep you informed of all the interim recommendations. We miss you and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best wishes for you and your families,
Dr Ellie
